Parsley is an herb that is thought to be native to the Mediterranean, but is now grown in numerous locations and widely available.
There are two types of fresh parsley commonly found at your local supermarket or farmers market, curly, also known as French parsley, and flat leaf, also known as Italian parsley.
Dried parsley is also available.
Fresh parsley is thought to contain more health benefits when compared to dried except when it comes to cancer prevention.
