Swordfish is a great source protein and healthy Omega 3 Fats. In addition, swordfish contains the heart healthy, cancer-fighting nutrient selenium as well as Vitamin B12, Vitamin D and Vitamin E.
Given the steak like nature of swordfish, my Montreal Style Seasoning goes perfectly. This seasoning adds a flavor that is savory with a hint of spice.
Of note, Swordfish contains higher mercury levels compared to most other fish. According to the FDA, pregnant/breast feeding women along with young children should avoid consumption.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Fresh Wild Swordfish Steak
- 1 tablespoon Salt, Garlic and Onion Free Montreal Style Seasoning
- 1 lemon (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425 F Bake
- Line sheet pan with foil
- Place swordfish on sheet pan
- Add seasoning and rub into swordfish
- Bake for 10 minutes
- Flip fish
- Bake for additional 10 minutes
- When ready to eat, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice (optional)
