“Santa Maria” style BBQ reminds me of every childhood summer event! Those who were part of those events will know exactly what I am talking about! Tri-Tip, chicken, salad, mom’s garlic bread, all finished off with the famous P Ginn Berry Pie! If there was a gathering, there would be Santa Maria Tri Tip and BBQ chicken courtesy of my father’s great BBQ skills!!! The only problem with those meals I enjoyed during all of those events was that the seasoning was loaded with MSG and salt. I have tried to recreate this flavor for years…
Inspired by a Tri-Tip delivery from our meat club through 1915 Farm, I hit the creativity board and came up with this magic. As I bit into the chicken drumstick and my husband took his first bite of the Tri-Tip, we were both taken back to my parents back yard and the family BBQ – success!
